Cleanings & Prevention

  • During your first visit, you will receive an expert oral examination. The doctor will then discuss any findings with you, create an individualized treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have. Following your examination, a dental cleaning also known as dental prophylaxis can often be completed the same visit. Dental prophylaxis is a treatment performed to clean teeth and gums as an important step in stopping the progress of the gum disease gingivitis and periodontitis.

  • Dental radiographs allow the doctor to get a better view of the health of your teeth. Our x-rays reveal potential conditions such as abscess or cyst, loss of bone and tooth decay. We utilize modern digital sensors and low-level radiation technology to ensure your safety. These digital x-rays will then be available to review immediately with you and your doctor.

  • Teeth usually have deep grooves called pits and fissures. It is often difficult for the bristles of the toothbrush to clean these areas. If left alone, these tiny areas can develop decay. A Dental Sealant is a thin coating, often white or colorless that bonds in the deep grooves to provide a smooth surface. By creating a barrier against food and bacteria, sealants help protect against decay.

  • Your teeth are an important indicator of your health and beauty so treat them well, here is how:

Tooth Brushing - Brush your teeth at least twice a day using a soft bristle brush.

    1. Place the brush at a 45 degree angle to the gums and gently brush using a small, circular motion.

    2. Spend 2-3 minutes brushing all the surfaces of each tooth including the outer, inner, and biting surfaces.

    3. Remember to brush your tongue to remove bacteria and prevent bad breath.

Flossing - Floss your teeth at least once a day to clean between the teeth and under the gum line.

If you have any questions on how to properly brush or floss, please ask your dentist for a demonstration.

Cosmetic Dentistry

  • A composite filling is used to repair a tooth that is weakened by decay, cracks or fractures. The use of high quality composite fillings allows us to match the natural color of your teeth and help alleviate any health concerns you may have with traditional metal fillings.

  • Having a beautiful bright smile may be easier than you think. Teeth whitening is the elimination of discoloration and stains from your teeth. We use a safe and gentle whitening system customized to your teeth in order to provide a desired shade.

  • Dental Bonding is a conservative treatment used to correct minor imperfections in teeth. During bonding, a specialized tooth-colored resin material is applied to match the natural appearance of your teeth. Bonding is generally less expensive than most other cosmetic treatments and can usually be completed in one office visit.

  • Veneers are thin, custom shells made from tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of your teeth. Veneers are natural in appearance and are often used to remedy problems in the shape and color of your teeth. They are a great option if you are looking to make minor adjustments to the look and feel of your smile.

Extractions

  • Extreme tooth pain may be due to severe decay or gum disease. To alleviate pain, prevent the spread of infection, and reduce further damage the tooth is removed completely. We can discuss with you future replacement of the tooth using dental implants, bridges, or dentures.

  • When the jawline does not have adequate space for your third molars, otherwise known as wisdom teeth, the tooth can develop decay or become stuck below the surface of the gums. These wisdom teeth are extracted to alleviate pain or swelling and prevent damage such as infection, decay and crowding to nearby teeth.

Root Canal Therapy

  • Root canal therapy is needed when the pulp (the living tissue inside the tooth) is affected by decay or infection.  In order to save the tooth, the pulp, nerves, bacteria, and any decay are removed and the resulting space is filled with special medicated dental materials, which restore the tooth to its full function.

Fixed & Removable Prosthetics

  • A crown (or cap) provides a layer of protection for the entire tooth surface. When your tooth has been weakened and cannot be repaired with filling or other restorative procedures, a crown strengthens the structure of your teeth. We offer highly durable crowns that with proper care will last many years.

  • An implant is a synthetic tooth root in the shape of a post that is surgically placed into the jawbone. The “root” is usually made of titanium, the same material used in many replacement hips and knees, and a metal that is well-suited to pairing with human bone. A replacement tooth is then fixed to the post.

Acting like substitute tooth roots, implants bind with the bone to form a stable foundation for permanent replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Dental implant treatment restores the beauty of your natural smile.

  • A dental bridge is a prosthetic device used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of one or more artificial teeth that are anchored in place by dental crowns fitted on the adjacent natural teeth or implants. The bridge helps restore the function and appearance of your smile, while also maintaining the alignment of your bite and preventing other teeth from shifting.

  • Dentures are removable appliance that serve as a replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. Complete dentures are used when all your teeth are missing. Whereas partial dentures are used when only some teeth are missing.

We offer both partial and complete dentures. Our goals is that your dentures have a natural and comfortable fit.
